Tom Anning

Partner, Head of Asia Pacific

Tom is the Founder and Head of Liberty Corporate Finance Asia Pacific. He has over 15 years’ experience in private equity and investment banking, advising management teams, boards, and investors on complex transactions across multiple jurisdictions.

Tom launched Liberty’s Australian business in 2023, building on the firm’s global track record of advising more than 750 management teams worldwide. He specialises in management alignment, equity rollover, and incentive structuring, combining commercial insight with global precedent from Liberty’s proprietary database of over 3,000 term sheets.

Tom is recognised for his ability to balance results and relationships — running efficient, competitive processes that deliver clarity and confidence for management, sponsors, and advisers.

Ty Harbour

Manager

Ty joined Liberty‑CF in 2026, bringing more than a decade of experience across corporate finance and real-asset alternative investing. Over his career, he has successfully executed over A$300 million in debt and equity transactions.

Prior to joining Liberty, Ty was a Senior Associate in the Real Estate team at Intermediate Capital Group (ICG), where he supported the establishment of a value‑add strategy across Developed Asia. His recent experience in platform‑build strategies has deepened his focus on the importance of building long-term enterprise value through aligning the interests of investors, founders, and management teams. 

Earlier in his career, he held roles at Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Jones Lang LaSalle, and Urban Logistics REIT (now London Metric Property), providing him with a broad, end‑to‑end perspective across capital formation, valuations and operations.

Ty holds a Bachelor of Property Economics from QUT and previously practiced as a certified valuer in Queensland, Australia

Jun Neoh

Associate Director

Jun is excited to meet management teams and support them with their ambitions. He has advised teams globally across a wide range of sectors on M&A transactions and restructuring processes.

Previously, he was at PwC's Transaction Services team, specialising in the valuation of management incentive shares. Jun is a Chartered Accountant (ACA) and also holds a PhD in Operational Research / Management Science from the University of Southampton.

Outside of work, Jun spends most of his time getting used to his new role as a father and is always happy when he can talk to other parents.

John Holland

Partner

John has over 10 years' M&A transaction experience working on a wide range of financial sponsor backed transactions. He joined Liberty in 2014 and has advised management teams on their equity investments in sales processes, restructurings, public to private transactions and IPOs.

Prior to joining Liberty, John was at EY where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant. He has an MSc in International Banking and Finance and a BSc in Computer Science, both from the University of Strathclyde.

John started his career as a software developer at JPMorgan so occasionally doubles as IT support from time to time – often asking if they’ve tried switching it off and back on again.

Brock Holmes

Senior Analyst

Brock joined Liberty in 2023 as an analyst. Prior to joining Liberty, Brock worked for Lincoln International where he gained experience working on sell-side transactions for both private equity and corporate clients across the Industrials M&A team and the Financial Sponsors Group. Brock holds a bachelor's degree in Business Economics from the University of Leeds.

Brock is excited to develop relationships with management teams and assist them in securing outstanding incentive schemes.

Outside of work, Brock is a keen cook and also enjoys watching and playing sports, especially football and golf.

Simon Hill

Partner

After training and qualifying as an accountant at Grant Thornton, Simon spent several years at KPMG in the London M&A team focusing primarily on private equity deals working with both sponsors and management teams.

Since co-founding Liberty in 2006 he has advised across a vast range of deal sizes and sectors working with businesses from around the globe.

Simon is incredibly proud of the invaluable service Liberty provides and feels genuinely privileged to represent the business leaders and entrepreneurs who choose to work with Liberty.

Besides a passion for Liberty and its clients, Simon is a motoring enthusiast and avid fan of trash tv and pop culture.

Michael McDonagh

Partner

Mick joined Liberty as a Partner in 2012 and has over 25 years’ experience advising management teams on their equity incentive plans. He has advised over 250 management teams across multiple sectors, geographies and transaction sizes which gives him the experience and insights to help each and every one of his clients. He is passionate about delivering aligned and lucrative incentive schemes for management teams and doing so in a collaborative and constructive way with investors. He enjoys the immense variety of business leaders he works with and is inspired by the growth stories delivered by them.

Prior to joining Liberty, Mick was a Partner and led the private equity group at KPMG Corporate Finance and earlier still a Partner at Grant Thornton.

Mick is a sports nut, particularly for football, and bemoans the fact that he watches far more than he plays these days.

Dan Martinez

Partner

Dan has over 15 years corporate finance experience and has been advising founders and managers throughout his professional career. Dan joined Liberty in 2015 and currently works between Liberty’s offices in London and Madrid and regularly advises management teams across the globe. His experience includes advising on primary through to quaternary transactions, carve-outs, Public to Privates, and sales to strategic and infrastructure acquirers.

Dan is personable and works collaboratively to deliver against his clients objectives and priorities ensuring they start a positive working relationship with their new majority shareholder.

Dan is a Fellow Chartered Accountant having qualified at PwC and graduated from the University of Nottingham with a 1st in Operations Management (BSc) and Masters in Corporate Strategy and Governance.

David Riedlinger

Senior Analyst

David joined Liberty in 2025 with a background in private equity, bringing experience across the full investment lifecycle of real asset transactions. He has worked on complex deals involving development, value-add and debt-financed assets, with a focus on financial modelling, valuation, and portfolio analysis.

His work in asset management has included driving business planning, value creation, and performance improvement across complex portfolios. He holds a BBA in International Business from the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences.

Outside of work, David is devoted to tennis and kickboxing, and is a seasonal skier and certified occasional scuba diver.

Jeff Soh

Partner

Jeff has over 10 years corporate finance experience and has been advising UK and European management teams throughout his career. He joined the Liberty team in 2016 and specialises in advising Management Teams on navigating transactions and optimising Management Incentive Plans (MIPs) on transactions involving Private Equity (PE). His experience also extends to designing and optimising MIPs involving Public to Privates, Strategics and Long-hold funds, both as part of a transaction or during the investment hold period.

Prior to Liberty, Jeff worked at KPMG as a Management Consultant and as a Debt Advisor in the Corporate Finance team where he qualified as a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA). He also holds a BSc in Economics from UCL and a MSc in Management & Strategy at LSE.

Jeff is an aspiring sportsman and enjoys playing all sports. His most recent sporting endeavours include attempts to master squash, golf and tennis.

Although any attempts of sporting mastery is only hindered by defending his position as the Champion Eater (self-proclaimed) in the office.

Matt Upton

Partner

Matt spent the first portion of his career in corporate finance at Andersen, Deloitte and latterly as a Partner leading EY's Midlands CF business. He then changed tack and was CEO of a privately owned Pharma Services business for 3 years, before moving into the investment world, spending 10 years as a Partner at Livingbridge, helping raise and invest 3 funds.

Alongside all of this, Matt has held a number of NED and Board Advisory positions in privately owned, entrepreneurially led businesses.

Having worked on 'all sides of the fence', Matt now uses this mix of experience to bring a fresh perspective to advising management teams as they navigate through the private equity landscape.

Sebastian Schwarz

Country Head, Germany

Sebastian joined Liberty in 2023 and is responsible for our advisory services in the DACH region. He has more than 15 years experience in providing corporate finance advice to corporates, management teams and business owners. During his career, he has led financing projects ranging from traditional senior financing to equity financing via an IPO.

His passion is in capital markets with a particular focus in business valuations. After training as a bank clerk, he studied business administration at the University of Augsburg, He received his Diploma in finance and accounting as well as in business law.

Sebastian is a CFA Charterholder and member of the CFA Society. As such, the objectives and interests of his clients always form the core of his work.

Whenever he has some time off, you can find Sebastian diving deep down in the sea or up in the mountains hiking or skiing.

Álvaro Rubio

Partner

Álvaro leads Liberty’s office in Madrid since 2019. Prior to joining Liberty he spent 18 years at Natixis Partners, BBVA and DC Advisory advising on corporate finance transactions in Spain specialising in private equity transactions of middle-market and large deals.

His extensive experience and multidisciplinary background, joint degree in Law and Business Administration from ICADE, gives him an invaluable set of skills to help management teams to get a successful and balanced outcome from a commercial, tax and legal perspective.

Álvaro has proven to have a special talent to transmit knowledge to junior professionals from his teams and other investment banks and private equity houses.

In his spare time, he loves spending time enjoying meaningful and life-changing conversations or everyday moments with his friends after a good meal or a cup of coffee and travelling around the world and Spain with his family. He is also a passionate about European and Spanish history.

Rory McIver

Associate Director

Rory joined Liberty in 2022, prior to this, Rory started his career at Smith & Williamson LLP in the assurance department, subsequently moving to the transactions department where he specialised in Business Valuations. Most recently, Rory worked in the Valuations & Opinions group at Lincoln International, where he performed debt and equity valuations for some of the world's largest private credit and private equity funds.

Rory is a Chartered Accountant (ACA), holds an MSc in Economic History from the University of Oxford, in addition to a 1st Class undergraduate degree in History (BA) from the University of Southampton.

Outside of work, Rory enjoys playing tennis and squash, in addition to spending quality time with friends and family.

Tim Moss

Associate Director

Tim joined Liberty in 2022. He is excited to meet management teams and support them in achieving their objectives.

Prior to joining Liberty, Tim spent four years at Deloitte where he gained experience in their Banking & Capital Markets team and in their Corporate Finance Valuations team. Tim is a Chartered Accountant (ACA) and graduated with a 1st in Mathematics (BSc) from the University of Bristol.

Outside of work, Tim volunteers as a mentor with the Social Mobility Foundation. He's also a keen footballer and gymgoer, if only to compensate for his love of good food.

Emma O’Shaughnessy

Office Manager

Emma joined Liberty in 2014 as Office Manager and Executive Assistant to the Partners. Having graduated from Oxford Brookes University with a BA in Business Studies Emma went onto work in client relationship and business development roles at blue chip information and data provider Thomson Reuters and global law firm Clifford Chance. From these roles she gained the skills to balance the competing needs and demands of both clients and colleagues, which has proved invaluable in her current role.

Emma’s role at Liberty is wide and varied running and supporting all of the central and marketing functions of the business.

Outside of work Emma attempts to get time for herself but is often found shivering on the side-lines watching her sons play football.

Clea Turvill

Senior Analyst

Clea joined Liberty in 2025, prior to which she started her career at PwC in Risk Modelling working within the Banking sector, gaining valuable insights into financial risk management and its implications.

Clea is currently studying towards her CFA level 2 exam and holds the ICAEW Certificate in Finance and Business (CFAB) qualification. Clea also achieved a 1st class degree in Chemistry from the University of Edinburgh.

Outside of work, Clea enjoys playing tennis, running, cycling and going on camping adventures. She also loves eating food with friends and family.

Karina Eldridge

Manager

Karina joined Liberty in 2024. Prior to this, she was working at a boutique corporate finance firm specializing in debt advisory. Her experience includes raising debt for acquisitions, refinancings, portfolio and development financings, and sale and leaseback.

Karina started her career at Deloitte where she trained as an accountant in the Banking and Capital Markets department, after which she moved to the debt advisory team. She has worked across multiple sectors including, Financial Services, Infrastructure, Real estate, Technology and Healthcare.

Karina is an ACA qualified accountant and holds BSc in Economics from Nottingham University and a MSc in Financial economics from Exeter University

Miranda McNeil

Manager

Miranda joined Liberty in 2023.

Prior to this, she started her career with NatWest on a rotational graduate programme, relevant experience includes working with their Corporate Development team - the lead advisory team on M&A and corporate finance activity within the group. After NatWest, Miranda joined Mizuho Bank working in their Corporate Finance and Risk Advisory team, creating and delivering high value-add content and corporate finance and risk advice to large corporate clients.

She has passed CFA level 1 and is a member of the Chartered Banker Institute. Miranda also holds a BSc in Mathematics and Statistics from St. Andrew’s University.

Outside of work, Miranda enjoys meeting up with friends, travelling, and trying out the different fitness classes that London has to offer!

Pollyanna Newcombe

Manager

Pollyanna joined Liberty in 2024.

Prior to this, she spent 4 years at Penfida, providing advice to FTSE 100 companies and their pension schemes across multiple sectors in the context of corporate transactions and during the ordinary course of business. During her time there, Pollyanna specialised in dynamically assessing the strength of a company using both fundamental valuation techniques and broader top-down considerations. Pollyanna started her career at ICG working across departments but specialising in sub-investment grade liquid credit products for institutional investors.

Pollyanna has passed CFA levels 1 and 2 and holds a BA in Economics & Management from the University of Oxford.

Outside of work, Pollyanna will usually be found in the theatre or on the ski slopes.

Luc Mugnaioni

Manager

Since joining Liberty in 2022 as an analyst, Luc has worked on multiple transactions across a range of sizes and geographies.

Prior to joining Liberty, he successfully completed his MSc in Applied Economics at the University of Strathclyde, achieving Distinction. Luc also holds a 1st class degree in Economics (MA) from the University of Edinburgh. Luc previously worked as a Summer Analyst in Morgan Stanley’s Bank Resource Management team, where he carried out P&L reporting on the team’s stock loan activity.

Luc is continuing his professional development at Liberty as he participates in the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program, having already passed CFA 1 in 2023.

Outside of work, Luc enjoys both watching and playing football. He also loves food and going out for meals with his friends and family.

Mollie Treacy

Manager

Mollie has over 5 years' financial deal experience. Before joining Liberty Corporate Finance in 2023, she worked for a London corporate finance firm, advising entrepreneurs, boards and companies on a range of transactions such as buy-sides, sell-sides, capital raises, strategic advisory and restructuring. Mollie started her career at Accenture as part of the Corporate Development and Transaction Services team where she advised on deal structures and worked closely with the company's sales teams to win bids.

Mollie has experience working across multiple sectors including Healthcare, TMT, Financial Services, Consumer and Retail. She has a keen interest and expertise in the Consumer/Retail sector having led this sector initiative in her previous role. Mollie is passionate about inclusion and diversity in the workforce and women in finance initiatives.

Mollie is a Chartered Accountant having qualified at Accenture and graduated from Trinity College Dublin with a joint honors degree in Business and Economics.

Alexander Arbuah

Senior Analyst

Alexander joined Liberty in 2023 as an analyst. Prior to joining Liberty, Alexander worked as an intern at Pictet Asset Management, where he gained experience in portfolio management across a Thematic Equities investment team.

Alexander is currently completing his MA in Accounting & Finance at the University of St. Gallen (HSG). He also holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics & Management from the University of Geneva.

Outside of work, Alexander is a keen football player and cyclist. As a Swiss native, he also enjoys skiing in the winter.

Ainhoa Martinez

Senior Analyst

Ainhoa joined Liberty in September 2022 as an analyst. She graduated from Imperial College Business School with a MSc in Finance & Accounting. Ainhoa also holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Deusto Business School (San Sebastian, Spain).

A native Basque and Spanish speaker, Ainhoa has also studied French and German at a business level. She enjoys challenging working environments for personal and professional growth.

Outside of work, Ainhoa loves travelling, meeting friends, and doing sports. She practised athletics for more than 10 years at a competitive level.

Prof. Dr. Alexander Götz

Partner

For more than 20 years, Professor Alexander Götz is specialised in advising management teams and private equity investors on management participation programs and structuring executive compensation models.

He has advised on more than 200 management participation programs and compensation models for listed and non-listed companies as well as family offices.

Alexander holds a degree in business administration and is an attorney at law. Numerous publications and lectures on the topics of management buy-outs, going private, public takeovers and executive compensation underline his expertise.

In his free time, Alexander enjoys sports, especially handball, football and skiing.

Karina Wildner

Commercial Director

Karina startete 2017 als Geschäftsführungs- und Partnerassistentin bei Blättchen & Partner und übernahm kurz darauf die Leitung des Office Managements. Seit 2019 verantwortet sie zudem den Bereich Finanzen und Controlling. 2021 wurde sie zur kaufmännischen Geschäftsführerin ernannt.

Mit über drei Jahrzehnten Erfahrung in den Bereichen Officemanagement, Finanzen und Projektmanagement versteht sie es ihre Expertise effektiv und effizient in ihr Daily Business einfließen zu lassen.

Ihre Freizeit verbringt Karina am liebsten draußen in der Natur oder auf der Yogamatte. Sie hat eine Leidenschaft für gutes Essen und die verschiedenen Küchen dieser Welt.

Moritz Stahl

Manager

Since 2017, Moritz has advised management teams and private equity investors on management participation programs in Germany. He specialises in corporate governance topics and executive compensation programs for listed entities. He also regularly gives lectures and publishes articles on executive compensation in Germany.

Moritz holds a BA in Business & Economics and a Law degree from University of Regensburg.

When not in the office, Moritz loves to play or watch any kind of sports, especially football, skiing, or a run with his dog.
